# Remove Docs and Content

The documentation is rendered by Nuxt Content from `content/docs/`, which also contains these removal guides, so read this guide first and delete `content/docs/` last. This guide removes the docs pages, their layout and the Nuxt Content setup and follows the [shared removal loop](https://www.vuesion.dev/docs/removal/shared-removal-loop); the blog is not part of the release.

## Entry points

- `content/docs/`: all documentation pages, including these removal guides.
- `src/app/pages/docs/`
- `src/app/layouts/docs.vue`
- `src/app/components/content/`: the prose components and `DocsVideo`, used only to render Nuxt Content.
- `content.config.ts`
- `tools/removal-guides.spec.ts`: it reads `content/docs/05.removal` and fails when the folder is gone.
- The Nuxt Content module in the `modules` list of `nuxt.config.ts` and its dependency in `package.json`. Remove both, then run `npm install` so the lockfile follows.
- The config key `content` in `nuxt.config.ts`. It contains `experimental.sqliteConnector`.

## Not found by the compiler

- `nuxt.config.ts`: the `content` key, the Nuxt Content entry in `modules`, the `sitemap.exclude` entry for the docs route and the `sitemap.sources` entry for the docs endpoint, plus the endpoint file `src/server/api/__sitemap__/docs.get.ts`. Do not remove the sitemap module itself.
- Links to the docs route: the "Documentation" buttons in `src/app/layouts/marketing.vue` (only if you keep marketing).
- The keys `NextStepsSection.docs.link` and `NextStepsSection.docs.text` and the docs tile in `src/app/components/marketing/NextStepsSection/NextStepsSection.vue` (only if you keep marketing).
- The docs links in `README.md`.
- i18n: delete `common.Documentation` from `i18n/locales/en-US.json` and `de-DE.json` once nothing uses it. The extractor never removes keys.
- Agent instructions: `AGENTS.md` and the skills in `.agents/skills` (`vuesion-backend`, `plan-create`, `interview`) refer to pages in `content/docs`, for example the database guide `content/docs/03.development/05.database.md` and the rule "Documentation" that asks to update `content/docs`. Move the pages you still need elsewhere or change these references.
- `.data` is the local Nuxt Content database cache. It is git-ignored. Delete it locally after the removal.
