Remove Marketing

The marketing feature is the landing page with its hero, product sections and motion effects. This guide removes all of them and follows the shared removal loop. The landing page is also the only sign-in entry, so a minimal sign-in page remains.

Entry points

  • src/app/components/marketing/: the nine sections and HeroComposition, with their stories.
  • src/app/composables/components/use-marketing-motion.ts and src/app/composables/components/use-marketing-motion.spec.ts: only the marketing components use them.
  • src/app/layouts/marketing.vue: only the landing page uses it.
  • src/public/images/marketing/
  • The i18n namespaces HeroSection, HeroComposition, FoundationSection, MonetizationSection, AiSection, DxSection, ProofSection, ConversionSection, FaqSection and NextStepsSection.

Not found by the compiler

  • src/app/pages/index.vue is the landing page. It holds the sign-in dialog with the auth flow, DemoLogin and AuthForm. The middleware auth and the sign-out handlers navigate to the root route.
  • Do not delete src/app/pages/index.vue. Remove the section imports and tags and the marketing layout, keep the dialog and the auth flow, and switch the page to the default layout.
  • src/app/pages/index.vue also holds the animated page background: the .page class with the @property --liquid-* declarations, @keyframes liquid-background-primary/liquid-background-secondary and the prefers-reduced-motion block, the :global(.light)/:global(.dark) blocks defining --bg-1 to --bg-4 (used only by .page) and the @use 'assets/design-system/index' as ds; line, which nothing else in the file uses (about 340 lines of styles), plus :class="$style.page" on the root and the useCssModule import and call. Delete them when the page no longer needs the background; keep any rule the remaining page still uses.
  • Open the sign-in dialog with a button you provide, as a small replacement for the removed hero button.
  • pages.index.title and pages.index.description are the SEO texts of src/app/pages/index.vue. The page also references the Open Graph image src/public/images/og/home.png. Replace both with your own or delete them when unused.
  • src/app/components/design-system/navigation/VueFooter/VueFooter.vue renders the key HeroSection.description, and VueFooter.spec.ts asserts it. Replace the text with your own key or remove the line before you delete the namespace, and update the spec.
  • e2e/specs/login.spec.ts and the login helper in e2e/fixtures.ts (used by every e2e spec that logs in) click the hero button "Explore the live demo" (key HeroSection.cta). Adapt both to the button that opens the sign-in dialog on your page.
  • If you keep the docs, src/app/layouts/docs.vue renders a pricing button. It links to the anchor #pricing of the landing page and uses the key NextStepsSection.tile.shop.action. Delete that button.
  • i18n: the extractor never removes keys. Delete the namespaces above by hand from en-US.json and de-DE.json in i18n/locales, except keys you still use.
